Commonly asked questions regarding our yard card rentals


  • Q. How does this all work?
  • A. Step 1- Browse through our offerings on our reservation form or look for ideas on our social media pages. Step 2- Make your reservation by filling out the reservation form. Step 3- We set up the display at your or the recipient’s home. Step 4- Take lots of pictures and tag us on social media. Step 5- We pick it up.


  • Q. How many days are included in my rental reservation?
  • A. All rentals are for one-day, unless you request additional days. Additional days have an extra cost. Reach out to us to inquire about adding more days for your display.


  • Q. When do I pay for my reservation?
  • A. Payment is due at the time of booking in order for us to add you to our calendar.


  • Q. What time will my reservation be installed?
  • A. Typically, we install between 8pm-10pm on the day before your reservation. However, if you have a special event that has specific set hours, we may install at a different time of day based on our availability. Let us know if you’d like to request a specific time.


  • Q. How large is the display I’m reserving?
  • A. The size of your reservation is dependent upon the package you select. For tiny yards, the standard package is a great choice, however, we have installed larger packages in smaller yards by making the display taller rather than wider. For much larger yards, the deluxe package is a great choice because it allows us to spread out graphics and letters to cover more surface. Upon arrival, Party Time Signs will analyze the surface area and will install in the area that will work best for the package you have selected. It is at our discretion to decide how tall or how wide we can install, however, we welcome your input if you have a special request.


  • Q. Will my display look exactly like the examples on your social media pages and on your website?
  • A. Please keep in mind that yards are of different sizes, and the packages selected by customers may vary from one to another. In addition, you may select personalization which will result in the images, colors, and styles displayed to be different and unique from other displays. This is why we love this business! It allows you to request pieces that will be special and significant to the person you want to surprise. All items are based on availability and dependent upon whether we have the item in stock. If you do see a setup on our social media that you absolutely love, let us know.


  • Q. Do I need grass to reserve a sign?
  • No, you do not need grass to reserve a sign. We have made stands that will work on any surface! The stands are beautifully stained with an espresso finish and work for any size display. We have set up on gravel, concrete, dirt, dry lawns, and even indoors!


  • Q. How far in advance do I need to place my reservation?
  • A. The sooner the better! It’s best to reserve your date as soon as possible. We only have a certain amount of slots available per day.


  • Q. What if I need to cancel?
  • A. We know life happens and unexpected situations occur. If you need to cancel your reservation we will be happy to credit for a different date.


  • Q. What if the weather is yucky the day of my reservation?
  • A. If Party Time Signs determines it is not safe to install, we will issue you a refund. Our signs withstand wind and rain very well; however, on days when there are extreme weather advisories issued, we will take the safest avenue and issue you a refund. Our priority is the safety of our customers. The East Bay tends to have mostly mild weather. To-date, we have not had to cancel orders due to severe weather conditions.


  • Q. Do you carry the same inventory as other Yard Card/Lawn Greeting companies?
  • A. The beauty of this business is that each Yard Card/Lawn Greeting company will have their own style and inventory. We highly encourage you to take a look at our social media pages so that you can see what our style and inventory looks like. If you do not see something you would like specifically, please let us know and we can work out a solution. It could be that we do have that kitty you want in stock, but it hasn’t been used in a display yet.


  • Q. Can I keep the sign?
  • A. Party Time Signs is a rental company thus we rent our signs. Signs cannot be kept by our customers.


  • Q. Can I request a custom rental?
  • A. Absolutely! We have had customers request extra flair, extra names, extra words, for an additional charge. If we have the items available, we are happy to work with you on a custom request.
